AMIZMIZ DAY TOUR

Amizmiz is a small town in Morocco approximately 55 kilometers south of Marrakech. It lies at the foot of the High Atlas mountain range.

Its population of approximately 11,000 consists mainly of Berbers of Chleuh origin who speak the tachlhite  dialect. Its weekly souk every Tuesday is well known in the area. Within the town.

Geographically and economically, Amizmiz acts as a juncture point between the many small Berber villages in the surrounding area. The weekly souk is an important part of this economic role, as individual Berber farmers from the hills surrounding Amizmiz bring their produce and livestock to sell and, in return, purchase packaged food items like tea and sugar—items brought in from Marrakech by local merchants.

We begin the route by crossing the minor road to amizmiz in 54 km from Marrakech will passing by the way of lalla takerkoust dam, this artificial lake 7 km long, the sight is magnificent. We continued our road to arrive at amizmiz, a big Berber village, nested between olive trees and fruit trees, continuation until crossing the river to reach AZGOUR (weekly market on Saturdays) and the village of TNIRT by a track. Typical lunch in an inn or at the inhabitant. Visit the village. Return in the afternoon by crossing villages perched in side of the high Atlas Mountains before having visit the spring of imin tala.
